She made sure I had it in time when I moved my wedding date up by 2 months and made sure that it was perfectly altered. I don't know of any other shop that has dresses as beautiful as Chatfield's and service as great as Debbie. I got a hug after every visit and felt like true friends by the last fitting. When my husband saw me walking down the aisle he started tearing up and couldn't take his eyes off me. He said it was so worth the wait to see me looking like I did in my wedding dress. Julie Now that the wedding is done, I want to share my experience at Chatfields. I don't even know where to begin to explain how grateful I am. My daughter wanted a modest wedding dress, which personally I was thrilled that she didn't choose a strapless wedding gown. I was a little nervous about their location, expecting to see expensive gowns. They are very reasonably priced. The dress was exactly what she wanted and we knew when she tried it on. I started to tear up, not because of the dress so much, but because my baby was getting married. I was personally touched that Debbie and her mother also started to tear up as well. Then we all started to laugh. I felt, they cared about my daughter's happiness, not just the sale of a gown. I promised them that I will shout it from the mountain tops and will be a walking advertisement for this lovely, lovely shop. I read some of the other reviews, and I understand now why they felt compelled to write. When you are treated with kindness and courteous service, you want everyone to know. Please consider this store when you are shopping for a wedding gown. Wila_Georgia On a slightly more emotional note I just wanted to thank you for such a wonderful experience. After going through 2 years of chemotherapy and mastectomies I truly did not think I could have the picture perfect wedding day I had always imagined. I honestly did not think i would ever feel beautiful again. With your help (and expert sewing skills) I felt like a princess when my father walked me down the aisle. There was not a dry eye in the group (look at the pics of my dad walking me down the aisle and you can see my aunt bawling!) during the entire weekend. My hair grew back just in time to style it the way I wanted, the shoes and the jewelry were perfect, and the groom loved it all! After I was diagnosed with breast cancer the doctors did not even think I would live to see my wedding day. but not only did I make it to my wedding day but I was healthy and beautiful. Chatfield's Boutique was listed as the closest location (over 3 hours). When I called and told her which dress I was looking for, she said she had two in stock... one in my size! She was pleasant to talk to and very accommodating for long distance travelers. Although she is a small boutique and only has few sizes of each style, she offered to let me take the dress from the store the day I came.When we got to the store, it felt comfortable from the moment we opened the door. Debbie was so charming and so welcoming! I picked out the dress I wanted to try on and as soon as I stepped out onto the platform, it was obvious that was my dress. Debbie is a very positive, no pressure lady who gives her undivided attention (even with 3 customers in the store!!). The fact that she helped me design my own veil for a reasonable price was the cherry on top.Anyone who is looking for a pleasant shopping experience for destination, modest, or maternity gowns, this is THE boutique to shop. I was so pleased with my experience and you will be too! Amanda I cannot say enough about Debbie - what an amazing person! I had walked into other stores but never tried on a dress because I just didn't feel like I mattered to the people working there. The way I see it, I get to have one special day and I want to look my best on that day. I don't want any drama or mess ups with the dress I pick so I need to know that the person who sells me the dress is going to make my purchase easy as pie. I walked into Chatfields and showed Debbie the type of dress I wanted. She was honest with me in saying that her dresses are a bit more modest than the one in the picture I brought. I decided to try on one of her dresses anyways. Amazingly enough, the very first dress I tried on was the one I ended up buying! It was SOO beautiful!! I felt beautiful and skinny (haha)!Then Debbie found me a veil and jewelery and within an hour and a half, I had everything I needed! And the price was UNBELIEVABLE!!! People don't believe me when I say that I payed less than $1,000 for all that.In short, Debbie is friendly, cheerful, and very honest. This is where you should shop, ladies! Finding the perfect dress is somewhat daunting and I cannot be more pleased with the experience at Chatfields. I found their no pressure attitude refreshing. I describe this store as classy and their wedding gowns are unique. Growing tired of the strapless look, I was very happy to see the store had more options than most bridal stores. I was equally impressed with the level of professionalism and charisma of the owner. There are good bridal stores in St. Louis, but I found my wedding dress here. The only con of this shop is that they do not carry bridesmaid dresses. The owner said she wants to expand in 2009. Its a small shop but I encourage other brides to at least put this store on their list. Lisa R A few months ago, I went to many bridal shops and was really dissappointed. Debbie the owner of this super cute store was so nice and professional. She made it all about me. I didn't feel pressured and she let me and my mom take pictures of me in several dresses. I'm having a beach wedding and needed a lite dress. I didn't want a big foo-fooey dress with tons of beads. My mom said the store was in the paper and they have dresses with sleeves and maternity - (which I think is great) but didn't realize she had other dresses. I'm so glad I stopped in there. The dress arrived exactly when she said it would. My tiara was a little pricey but I picked the biggest one,naturally - and its made into a necklace after the wedding. Awesome, just awesome store. Tiffany I am looking for a special gown since this will be my second marriage, but first wedding. I need one that fits with my age, but allows me to enjoy the first-time joy of a beautiful wedding gown. I have been viewing the Chatfields Bridal Boutique website for quite some time because it is easy to use, has great photos of the many different gowns, and there are always new items to see. Last Saturday I visited the boutique and was amazed at the large selection of gowns that would be appropriate for me. More amazing was Debbie, who was magically able to pinpoint two gowns that were perfect for me. The ambiance of the boutique is so pleasant and i felt quite at home. I was there for an hour, but coupld have stayed much longer talking with Debbie about the gowns, jewelry and other unique accessories. I have not purchased a gown, yet but I did buy a veil. it was hand-made and so reasonably priced. The service I received from Debie was so special and I can't wait to go back! Kathy This is a lovely store and the dresses are unique and something you would not find at a run of the mill bridal store. Debbie Welcher is attentive to her clientele's needs and desires. We all want to look perfect on our wedding and feel beautiful no matter what our shape and size. Her dresses are flattering no matter if you are pregnant, plus size or just a normal size 10.
