You will experience a shop that is both warm and inviting. Our service is kind and courteous. A wedding dress is a significant purchase. We do not leave when the clock shows it is time to close.
We have made the committment to only serve brides seeking a modest bridal gown. Every month new modest dresses arrive at the store. Our inventory is constantly changing and new designes are brought on throughout the year.

The Epoch Collection
Plus Sizes
Alternative sizing represents full figure women. Half the shop is dedicated to Plus Size Brides - we have a significant inventory of dresses 14 to 30.
White Graduation Dresses
Many private schools in St. Louis require a white wedding dress for their ceremonies. Many of our modest wedding and white prom dresses do not have trains. Our white dresses meet the sheet-white color requirement for all St. Louis schools.

Appointments
We strongly encourage our brides to call ahead and schedule an appointment. Chatfields is the the only all-modest bridal store in the Central Midwest and brides typically drive hours to shop at the store.
Saturday's are the busiest during the week and appointments book up quickly. Please call the shop to ensure you receive the undivided attention you deserve.

What to Expect
All our gowns are under $1000!
Modest wedding dresses are $250 to $1000.
To order a gown a 50% deposit is required. Once a gown is ordered from the Designer, we cannot cancel the order. The shop will notify the bride the gown has arrived and arrangements can be made at that time with the seamstress. The shop will give a gentle steam to the dress, however a final steaming should be scheduled either with the seamstress or with a professional dry cleaner.
Bridal bags are available for purchase when the gown arrives.
Online Sales
Some of the designers we carry are available on the internet. We try to meet those prices and hope you will consider our store for your purchase.
We do not offer online purchasing because we feel your wedding dress purchase is too important to simply order online without full consultation. We ask many questions to ensure the dress you choose is perfect for your wedding day.

Extras
Our dressing area is in the back of the store. We have dressing rooms with a door and not a curtain. The rooms are very large and private. They can accommodate roughly 5 additional people. Some faith's requires additional modesty. If there are men in the back, we will kindly ask them to go to the front of the store.
Feel free to bring a camera. However pictures should be taken in the dressing area and not the front of the store. Each bride will receive a "My Favorites" form that shows what dresses are the favorite and pricing.
We have a wonderful seamstress who works with our shop. She owns Custom Alterations and all the fitting are done in our shop. She has raised necklines, made longer sleeves and much more to help us accommodate brides that need additional modesty.

Pretty Dresses
We kindly ask that you not wear lipstick or heavy makeup when trying on the dresses. Also please remove watches and other jewelry that may snag the dresses. We want our dresses to be pretty for all girls.
